Naming Ceremonies

In western culture a Naming Ceremony goes back to Roman and Greek practice in pre-Christian times. It was thought by some that a child was not a member of the family until the celebrant had named him/her at the Naming Ceremony. A Naming Ceremony celebrates and acknowledges this fact.

Our relationships are the most important aspect of our lives - they define and shape us as human beings and have the greatest impact for our development. When we are blessed with a child our hearts search for the perfect name for that child to carry throughout their lifetime.
A Naming Ceremony brings together family and friends at a very joyous time - it acknowledges the celebration of life recognised since the beginning of time itself.
